That's a Three Days Grace song for those of you who didn't know. Anyway, today I had the wonderful experience of dislocating my knee briefly. Yeah, not fun. I was practicing my lunges while figure skating and my knee popped out of place on the side, brushed the ice, and popped back over. Not all the way, though. In fact, if my instructor, Becca, hadn't made me do squats on my toe picks against the wall I'm not sure it would have slid all the way back into place by itself. It hurt. It still hurts. And I know it's going to be sore for the next couple of days. So thank goodness for the invention of ibuprofen! I am also wearing my knee brace, which I haven't had to do for a long time. It's weird and inconvenient. But everything will be alright. I should be back on my feet (figuratively, of course, as I am not at this moment incapacitated completely) in a few days. Take that, ice rink! Once again you will not triumph over me through the cause of pain!
Also, beware of fortune cookies. I got one from Panda Express yesterday that told me a new challenge would shortly arise in my life. Today I dislocated my knee. Coincidence? I think not!
